All articles should be submitted online on email. The papers which are not conform to the formatting requirements are to be returned to the authors for editing.
Authors log in, fulfil all necessary fields of the author’s account, which will allow the unambiguous identification of the authors in various international databases. The author’s name is to be transliterated in English, in accordance with the name written in the already published articles in the international databases.
Therefore, authors are recommended to sign up the websites http://orcid.org/ and http://www.researcherid.com/, where they receive a unique identification number that allows to identify an author and his/her works and references to them in international databases.
Users need to keep their contact details up-to-date. Before sending the paper, the author should check up that his account contains the correct e-mail address as the Editorial Team contacts authors by e-mail.

Once the author's account is fulfilled, the article can be submitted. Our online submission system guides you stepwise through the process of entering your article details and uploading the file. If a field isn’t filled correctly, it is framed in red and there are comments in the right of the screen. If submission successful the author receives the notification from the Editorial Team. Authors are also informed on the paper’s consideration status in the author’s account.
For the purposes of blind review, the paper file should not contain names of authors.
2. Submission Fee
There are no any submission or publication fees. The processing, formatting, reviewing and archiving of the publication are free of charge.
3. Article Structure and Formatting
Before submitting an article, authors should look at recently published articles. The average article volume should be 17-23 typewritten pages (35 000 – 45 000 characters) including abstract, keywords, references. All manuscripts must contain the essential elements: Abstract (200 – 250 words), Keywords (not less than 10), Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion or/and Conclusions (IMRAD format). The article should be written in good clear English or Russian.
4. Review process
After the article has been submitted, it is moderated from the point of view of Journal’s requirements. The Editorial Team return the paper for editing depending on the moderation results.
Double-blind review. After moderation, articles are subject to double-blind peer review by the members of the Editorial Board and two anonymous external reviewers. On average, the review process takes 2 months.
The manuscript is accepted or rejected depending on the reviewer’s conclusion and the Editor-in-Chief’s decision. All articles are verified for their originality using the originality detection software.
The reviewing results can be formulated as:
- The paper is accepted;
- The paper requires minor revision;
- The paper requires major revision;
- The paper is rejected.
The Editorial Team does not enter into correspondence with the authors of rejected papers.The papers which were once rejected are not to be reconsidered.
The common reasons for rejection are lack of scientific novelty, insufficient originality or non-conformity to the scientific area covered by the Journal. The author receives the notification of the Editor’s decision and requests for revision by e-mail.
Articles that receive positive reviews are included in the list for publication. At the Editor’s discretion, the articles written in Russian can be published in English. Authors will be informed about this decision in advance, after that they will send the article professionally translated into English.
The author transfer the copyright to this article to the World Ecology Journal, effective if and when the article is accepted for publication. The copyright transfer covers the exclusive right and license to reproduce, publish, distribute and archive the article in all forms and media of expression now known or developed in the future, including reprints, translations, photographic reproductions, electronic form (offline, online) or any other reproductions of similar nature. The author retains the right to use his/her article for his/her further scientific career by including the final published journal article in other publications such as dissertations and postdoctoral qualifications provided acknowledgement is given to the original source of publication. The Editor receives the right to adapt the presentation of the article for publication in accordance with Journal’s requirements.

6. Open access
Articles are freely available at the websites ecojournal.world, www.cyberleninka.ru. Open access means that users can read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of their articles. All papers are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (doi).
The Journal follows the “blue” archiving policy Sherpa/Romeo that means that the author can archive post-print (i.e. final draft post-refereeing) or publisher’s version/PDF.
7. Privacy statement
The Editorial Board of the Journal warranty that authors personal data will be used solely for correspondence to the authors and for publication details and will not be shared with the third part.
